It was a perfect day for high dynamic range (HDR) shots with lots of dramatic clouds in the sky.

Ceremonies at the Lost Village of Dode take place in a deconsecrated mediaeval church. It's very dark.

It's also very atmospheric!

Check out the exposure details. A camera which performs well at high ISO is essential for this venue.

Notice the negative exposure compensation (EC) to take account of the darker tones and preserve highlights.

After the civil ceremony Lorna and Stuart had a pagan ceremony. Apparently these are still legally binding in Scotland.
