I had the pleasure of photographing Kate and John's wedding on Saturday at The Pines Calyx at St Margaret's Bay, near Dover. As I drove to the venue the sky was full of wonderful clouds and the light was soft. About 10 minutes after arriving, however, the clouds disappeared and didn't return for the rest of the day! The sun was ferocious all afternoon but, as usual, I was able to sniff out the pockets of soft light or put myself in the right spot to minimise the impact of the harsh sun.
