An HDR shot to hold detail in the sky.

Shot under the protective canopy of a tree. I had the wedding cars just behind me so had to shoot wide. Space is often limited so having a wide angle lens in your bag is essential.

I underexposed this shot to produce a silhouette. But I also liked the above treatment where I've added fill light to bring out a bit more detail.

I see you are loving this 35mm 1.4 dave, so how are you finding it now that you have had it for a while, anything to add to your first review on this lens?
Q: If you had to cover a wedding with only one lens which would you pick if i may ask :)
Thanks for the inspiring blog
Best Regards
Paul
Hi Paul,
Many thanks for the kind feedback.
Yes, I am loving the 35mm f/1.4 lens. So versatile (if only it were a bit cheaper).
If I could take only one lens with me (not a nice thought!) it would have to be this one.
Yours,
David
Yes I am just about to invest in one at 1180 from jessops most retailers are waiting to receive them from canon on backorder, personally I am convinced that canon have a big warehouse somewhere full of them slowly releasing them just in time to keep the price up :)
Hope you keep the blog up..
Regards
Paul
Ha ha! It wouldn't surprise me. If only we knew where that warehouse was.....
