I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Richard's wedding at St Augustine's Priory in Bilsington (one of my favourite venues) on Saturday and their wedding gallery is already available to view. I've now got yesterday's wedding, shot at Chilston Park Hotel, to tackle!

Lovely pictures David. Being able to use nice parklands makes a huge difference.
I'm just starting to dabble in wedding photography. This weekend I helped cover a large reception in a very dark ballroom hall.
With my 5DMk2, to get a shutter speed of 50 in AV mode at F1.4 I needed ISO 3200 and was using flash also.
To get a better shutter speed I pushed the ISO higher. In retrospect, would you suggest I should have gone Manual instead? My problem was a videographer with a bright light getting into shot and overexposing my manual shots. How would you tackle this?

Many thanks for the feedback.
Going manual is a great option in lowlight conditions when using flash. You can underexpose the ambient light by 2 stops without it losing too much detail (terms and conditions apply). This should also give you some protection against the mobile lighthouse that is a videographer!
