Hey David, loving your work.
Any chance you could add the EXIF data to your most recent images? Your very latest portrait post is awesome!
I have been thinking about getting the 50mm f1.2 L for my 5D2 (although nobody seems to have it in stock) - do you prefer it for portraits over, say the 85mm L?
Thanks, Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thank you very much for your kind words - I really appreciate it.

EXIF data for this image: 1/200, f/2.0, +1/3 EV, ISO 800, 85mm (85mm f/1.2 L)

The ultimate for portraiture is the 85mm f/1.2 L but it comes with an horrendous price tag (and a bit of a learning curve). The 85mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.8 and 35mm f/1.4 all produce stunning results. I've not used the 50mm f 1.2 L but my expectations would be very high!

All the best,

David

Hey David,
I took the plunge and bought the 85mm f/1.2 L this weekend.
First few shots were not very good but am getting used to it quite quickly and as you say the results are amazing.
If you hit the focus then the shots are unbelievable.
I'm going to change my focusing screen to the Eg-S Super Precision which should help.
Thanks, Stephen.
