Juliane & Rob's Wedding

My website: Wedding Photographer Kent

A selection of images from Juliane and Rob's wedding on Sunday at The Bell Hotel in Sandwich. For more please check out the gallery of their wedding in Sandwich or view this alternative non-Flash based wedding gallery. I only had 90 minutes with them so had to work very efficiently!

 1/4000, f/4, ISO 200, ‒ 1 EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

I normally like to do an HDR shot with this sort of light but there was a lot of movement in the scene. I've used the recovery and fill light sliders in Lightroom to try and tame the tonal range.

The groom and his parents.

 1/100, f/5.6, ISO 400, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

Plus an extension tube.

 1/1600, f/1.4, ISO 400, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

 1/500, f/2, ISO 400, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

The lovely bride and her father.

 1/500, f/2.8, ISO 1600, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

 1/160, f/3.2, ISO 1000, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

 1/160, f/3.2, ISO 1000, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

This was the third ceremony last week which required the use of flash. There was only limited natural light falling on the couple so I had to bounce flash on to them.

 1/250, f/2.8, ISO 1600, ⅓ EV, 0 FEC, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

 1/200, f/2.8, ISO 400, ‒ ⅓ EV, 22mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

 1/125, f/4, ISO 800, ‒ ⅓ EV, 27mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

With just 8 people the group shots didn't take long!

 1/4000, f/1.2, ISO 200, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

 1/800, f/3.5, ISO 50, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

 1/200, f/2.5, ISO 50, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

Juliane had the most amazingly reflective eyes. I love the shot above despite the little wisp of hair that's fallen over her cheek.

 1/125, f/2.5, ISO 50, ‒ ⅓ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

 1/125, f/2.5, ISO 50, ‒ ⅓ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

 1/1000, f/1.8, ISO 320, ‒ ⅓ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

 1/3200, f/1.4, ISO 320, ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

 1/250, f/2, ISO 320, 1 ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

I moved my position for this shot which made a huge difference in the exposure for the couple versus the background. Notice the positive exposure compensation I dialled in.

 1/320, f/2, ISO 320, 1 ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

 1/400, f/2.8, ISO 320, 0 EV, 155mm, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

1/80, f/2.8, ISO 1000, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L
