Amy and Michael's Wedding

My website: Kent Wedding Photographer

A selection of images from Amy and Michael's wedding at Cooling Castle on Saturday. To view a wider selection of images please check out the following: Flash-based wedding gallery, non-Flash-based gallery.

1/800, f/2.8, ISO 100, 0 EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

Spring is almost here (and about time too!)

HDR (-2, 0, +2), f/4, ISO 400, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

1/160, f/2.8, ISO 250, 1 EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

Fortunately the shoes had stilleto heels on, making it easier to dangle them.

A make-up artist with delirium tremens would have a short-lived career.

1/125, f/2.8, ISO 800, ²⁄₃ EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The same trick as employed by restaurants with small dining areas.

1/160, f/3.2, ISO 1600, 1 EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The ladies hard at work.

1/5000, f/2.5, ISO 100, ‒ 1 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

And the boys ready for action.

1/3200, f/1.4, ISO 100, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

Very silly but still amusing to schoolboys like myself (and Warren the bestman.)

1/160, f/2.8, ISO 800, 1 EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

Wow!

1/60, f/2.8, ISO 3200, ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

Light levels in this ceremony room are always quite low. Bright windows behind the couple mean that you need to know how to exposure compensate.

'I do solemnly declare that I know not of any unlawful impediment why I....', announced the groom.

1/200, f/6.3, ISO 100, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 20mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

With my main man Warren serving as the voice-activated light stand this week. Camera to manual, shutter speed to 1/200 (ensuring minimal amount of ambient light is recorded whilst allowing the flash to sync) and aperture tweaked to give the desired balance between ambient and flash light.

1/200, f/13, ISO 100, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

1/800, f/1.6, ISO 100, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/500, f/1.6, ISO 100, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/500, f/1.4, ISO 100, ‒ ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/160, f/4.5, ISO 200, 0 EV, 25mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

1/640, f/4, ISO 400, ‒ ⅓ EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

No expense was spared on confetti (clearly some old scores were being settled here.)

1/40, f/2.8, ISO 1600, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 22mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

It's great being at that age when it's socially acceptable to pull out a computer game when everyone's boring you.

1/100, f/2.8, ISO 3200, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The camera is in manual mode and underexposing for the ambient light.

1/100, f/3.2, ISO 3200, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The old ones are the best.

Dinner is served!
