Kim & Dave's Wedding

A selection of images from Kim and Dave's wedding yesterday at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Temple Ewell and The Ramada, Dover - please check out their wedding gallery.

HDR (-2, 0, +2), f/4, ISO 400, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

A high dynamic range (HDR) shot to kick-off. The sky was heavily overcast and the quality of light was exceptionally poor. HDR improved matters considerably.

1/160, f/2.2, ISO 200, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

Shot in open shade to take advantage of soft reflected light.

1/250, f/2.8, ISO 200, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

Cool pose Mr Burton. Shot without the benefit of shade. Check out those hard shadows. Negative exposure compensation (EC) compensates for the dark tones.

1/250, f/1.4, ISO 320, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

The best man looked on anxiously as I fumbled to arrange the rings artfully.

1/250, f/2.5, ISO 640, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

Mischief afoot, methinks.

1/500, f/4, ISO 320, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

A knowing look and a confused look.

1/200, f/2.8, ISO 640, 1 EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The bride has arrived. And early too. Hooray!

1/320, f/2.8, ISO 640, 0 EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

The bride and her daddy (Andy Hamilton's stunt double).

1/100, f/2.8, ISO 2000, ²⁄₃ EV, 80mm, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

It was a back-of-the-church job this week. If you look closely you'll see the vicar has stored his weekly shop on the sill of the stained-glass window.

1/200, f/2.8, ISO 2500, ⅓ EV, 120mm, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

Ladies and their handbags.

1/125, f/2.8, ISO 1600, 0 EV, 27mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

1/200, f/2.8, ISO 1000, 0 EV, 0 FEC, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

I think Dave's doing his Churchill face in this one.

1/400, f/2.8, ISO 640, 0 EV, 145mm, 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

In fact, he's the man of a thousand faces.

1/250, f/4, ISO 400, 0 EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II

Grrrrrr.

1/160, f/3.2, ISO 200, ‒ 1 EV, -1 FEC, 35mm f/1.4L

Time for a bit of off-camera flash. Under the control of Canon's E-TTL algorithm and triggered with a PocketWizard.

1/100, f/1.6, ISO 1250, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

Natural light only. Quantity low, quality high.

1/500, f/1.4, ISO 400, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/40, f/2.8, ISO 400, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

An encounter of the cake kind.

1/640, f/1.6, ISO 400, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

These things do drag on....

1/500, f/2.2, ISO 400, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

'No, not on a train - at a wedding!"

1/6400, f/2.8, ISO 640, ‒ ⅓ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

The Hoxton fin aids aerodynamic stability.

1/320, f/2.2, ISO 400, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

I couldn't believe how quickly she got through a bottle of red.

1/250, f/1.4, ISO 200, ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/200, f/1.4, ISO 400, 0 EV, 35mm f/1.4L

1/80, f/1.6, ISO 800, 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

Surely that can't be comfortable.

1/250, f/2.2, ISO 800, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

1/250, f/2.2, ISO 800, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

1/250, f/1.4, ISO 800, 0 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

1/400, f/2, ISO 640, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II

It's the way I tell 'em.
