A selection of images from Jill and Seb's wedding photographed on Saturday at the Winters Barns near Canterbury. Please check out their wedding gallery.
1/1250, f/1.4, ISO 400, ‒ 1 EV, 35mm f/1.4L
Negative exposure compensation (EC) because of the predominant dark tones.
1/400, f/1.4, ISO 400, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L
1/640, f/1.6, ISO 400, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 35mm f/1.4L
For the three shots above you might wonder why I didn't adjust the ISO setting to 100. The reason was that I was also shooting at f/2.8 and an ISO setting of 400 gave a suitable shutter speed at both these apertures.
1/100, f/2.8, ISO 800, ⅓ EV, 16mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II
1/200, f/1.8, ISO 400, ⅓ EV, 35mm f/1.4L
1/320, f/2.8, ISO 200, 0 EV, 35mm, 16-35mm f/2.8L II
The sun was fierce and reasonably low in the sky when I shot the groups on Saturday afternoon and this was the only location with 'open shade' that I could find with flattering light. No horrible shadows or burnt out highlights.
1/3200, f/1.2, ISO 50, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II
1/1250, f/2, ISO 50, ‒ 1 EV, 85mm f/1.2L II
1/100, f/4, ISO 50, ⅓ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II
1/1250, f/1.4, ISO 50, ‒ ²⁄₃ EV, 85mm f/1.2L II
In the four shots above, Gill and Seb were carefully placed to make the most of the location and the light. Notice how the EC changes.

I'm guessing you're getting a few winter weddings then. For some reason, I don't get many of those - those I get feel like free money :) What's your secret?
